I just found the fucking sweetest band ever!
They're called Keytarded and as you might understand they all play keytars!
If that wasn't enought they play the exact same modell that I have and they fucking meow melodies n shizzle. The only song that I can find by 'em is on their myspace and it's a cover of Love will tear us apart by Joy Division.
http://www.myspace.com/keytardedband is their myspace adress.
Greeaaaaat!

Another great type of music is video game music. In this case old 8-bit video music.
I grew up loving video games, even though I'm a bit too young to have been able to play the real old-timers from the 80s.
About a year ago I decided to change this. I bought an old NES machine and played my ass off.
Such old timers as Zelda, Super Mario Bros and Tetris were what was up!
I realised that I had never thought about the music in games that much when I played 'em as a kid and that I'd missed out on something great.
I think what fascinates me most about it is the fact that the music is so restricted. They have too keep it simple 'cause the machine can't play anything even remotely complicated. Take the Zelda soundtrack for example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QVQArWCu3bs (I don't seem to find a way to make it show so the link will have to work for now)
It's so simple but yet so complex. The beat works perfect with the high pitched 8-bit tunes!

It's here! It's great! It's funky fresh!
I'm in love with this keytar, seriously. I'ma play dis shizzle all night long!
I'll try to upload a demo video of me playing around with it later on.
And the music will be recorded after I've bought a midi cable.
Live long and prosper.

If there's something I've learned during my quite few years of existence on this planet that we call earth* it's that when you can't sleep, music's your best friend.
Especially when it's such great music as the compositions of Friska Viljor. I'd indeed say that they're one of the best swedish bands in history.
I don't know what it is about them that brings me such joy but it has to have something to do with the great combination of trashy mandolin playing and semi-false singing. I love it!
If you haven't heard 'em you need to listen to this song:
I Gave My Life: http://open.spotify.com/track/5OFovg2L5gfL0LDm4Z8UaW
and every other song on the Bravo! album for that matter.
If I fall asleep now the dawn will arrive faster

I be sitting here listening to the "latest" mainstream tunez on the radio.
I'm seriouslt dissapointed. Why do people insist in listening to Lady Gaga fucking 24/7?
Oh wait. Fever ray just came on!
Goooood shit.
I've ben listening to this kind of music alot lately. I guess my taste in music is changing to winter mode with more chilled out electronic music. Now that's a great way to spend a cold winter night!
